I can not undertsand what government was doing at that time. It is not smart to make folks starve.
There is no government when they are hungry but there is government when they do bad stuff like stealing or murder. I am mad about this.

Noah just left. He is so brave. I do not think he is going to survive though. And I guess grandma is going to die. When I was reading this book in 8th grade I wanted everyone in the book die because I couldn't understand anything. It was also in english but shorter. Anyways right now I do not want them to die because I can understand and I think they're cool. I did not like the word "Okie". It's like people calling me foreign chick!
The mother did not disappoint me. I knew she was crazy. I knew she was a rebel. I like how she talked to the guy who called her "Okie"

My favorite is mum right now. She is kinda rebel. By the way what is jack handle makes me remember jack daniels. Chapter 14 and 15 was hard to understand for me. I am sad for 2nd family because their car broke down again and they feel guilty because they couse trouble.
